Fantastic binoculars, got them for christmas and I've been exploring the moon, the Pleiades (I can see more than 50 stars in that cluster alone (barely 6 lacking the binoculars). Can see Mars, Jupiter and even its moons. I can read newspaper headlines from 50 yards away and car's licenseplate from 400-500 yards away. I would like even more magnification for what I like to do (star staring and nature surveillance), but there just isn't anything out there for a price anywhere close to what I paid for these ... at Walmart) that has this magnification and is as compact and simple to cary. ONE MAJOR THING TO WATCH OUT - the strap is a piece of junk and it can come undone while you're moving them. It happened to me and they dropped and got smashed. I'm getting a further pair and putting my on my own strap (a sturdier one). WARNING #2 - this is not for people with irregular hands (I don't have that problem), you can but mount them on a tripod, which I did and it works fantastic. |
Incredible value for birders, astronomers, etc.

I am an avid birder as well as a star-lover. These binoculars are incredible! I have them on my table at all times to watch birds with, and they go with me on any hike or camping trip I take. The early setup is super-simple, and once you do that, they are some of the best I've used for tracking down and focusing on a moving object. A quick finger-toggle slides the focus for you lacking losing track of what you're looking at. I've in fact bought many sets of these binoculars for friends and family as gifts because they were so useful for me, and now I have a wide following addicted to these binoculars. The image of course is fantastic, well lit and excellent sized! If you have any sort of interest in nature, astronomy, sports, or just about anything else which involves viewing stuff at a space, these are certainly the binoculars to try. You won't be disappointed.
This is what is meant by the term - User Friendly!

These binoculars are the simplest to use of any I have ever tried. The early setting in rank are simple to follow and then you can instantly change the focus from far to near with finger tip ease. We live on a lake and use them for bird surveillance. I can focus on a bird at our feeder and then watch it flying all the way to its nest. I just touch the instant focus feature with my finger and do not have to take my eyes off it. I can watch a bird across the lake with the same ease. You do not feel like you need an commerce degree to be able to use these binoculars to their fullest the makings. What a plotting! Something that is simple to use and does what it's supposed to do at an affordable price!

Theses binoculars are quite impressive. When I bought them I was in the family way something heavier for the size, but these are a lot lighter than the one I owned before. The magnification - WOW - I have been using binoculars for about six years, and the magnification on this one is one of the best I've seen so far. Even with the outstanding 16x magnification its possible to get a excellent 160 yards of foucust field of veiw. I never had a problem with the lenses fogging up on my hunting trips, for all of you who know how bugative that can be. I give these binoculars five stars because even whith the impressive view, ther is a very affordable price tag.

This is a excellent binoculars. It is clear and light. Buy it only if you really need 16x magnification. At times, you will wish you didn't have so much of magnification. My next binoculars will be one with zoom ! The moving case is cheap-looking (so is the neck strap).
