Product Description |

Anyone who's ever peered through their binoculars and wished they could freeze the moment will delight in the Meade CVB1002 CaptureView, which combines a digital camera with a traditional binocular body. Whether you're surveillance a mountain goat leaping across a gorge, a record-contravention home run, or a rare bird in a unsociable tree, the CaptureView lets you see the action up close and take a digital shot. The camera stores up to 40 cinema with 640 x 480 pledge or up to 400 photos with 320 x 240 pledge on its 8 MB of internal memory. While the image quality isn't as sharp as on many newer digital cameras, the convenience of taking cinema through the binoculars' 30mm objective lenses more than makes up the difference. It's also simple to transfer images to a PC via the included USB cable. And you don't need to buy break photo-control software thanks to the bundled CD-ROM, which includes a simple control and image-capture application. Additional features include a focus range that clarifies images within 16 feet, involuntary exposure and white balance hegemony, a neck strap and moving case for simple transport, and fully coated optics. The CaptureView, which requires two AAA batteries (not included), measures 5.6 by 1.9 by 3.8 inches (W x H x D) and is backed by a one-year warranty. What's in the Box CaptureView binocular/camera, USB cable, software CD-ROM, user's manual.

Everything you would expect for less than $100

| First reviewer obviously is looking for something for nothing. For less than $100, it takes reasobly excellent space photo's of sports and wildlife. have had it a small time and have by now taken better photo's of the deer in my woods than I ever did with my much more expensive digital camera. light enough and yes, low-priced enough, to tuck in my coat for going fishing or hunting. If you are a certified wildlife photographer this is not the camera for you. This is the camera for the rest of us. |
My fault for not investigating more

| Compatible for only PCs, W98 and up. Very hard to hold steady, and there is no tripod socket. More a toy than anything else |
